Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

wet saw

finds documents containing 'wet' or 'saw'

wet or saw

same as above

wet and saw

finds documents containing both 'wet' and 'saw'

wet not saw

finds documents containing 'wet' but not 'sawl'

(wet not saw) and sander

finds documents containing 'sander', plus 'wet' but not 'sawl'

sand*

finds documents containing words starting with 'sand'
